BLACK CHRISOHOOU RED WINE

XINOMAVRO - MERLOT

Variety: 80% Merlot and 20% Xinomavro

Vintage: Merlot around the 30th of August and Xinomavro after the 20th of September

Vinification: Produced by the classic method of red vinification with temperatures of fermentation around 23 – 25ο C and stay of the skins with the juice for five days.  Following the alcohol and malolactic fermentation it matures for 18 months in American oak barrels

Organoleptic characteristics: Original red wine, which, through a “game” of mature in American Oak barrels gives extraordinary perfumes of cocoa, caramel and smoke. Ripe flavor with soft tannins, liveliness and duration.

Alcohol: 12,5 – 13,0% vol

Sugar Levels: 1,8 – 2,3gr/l

Total acidity: 5,4 – 5,7gr/l

It perfectly accompanies: Cheeses, salads and sweets of chocolate
