Type: Dry red wine, PGI Chalkidiki – Arnea, Macedonia – Greece
Varieties: 50% Xinomavro, 20% Syrah & 30% Cabernet sauvignon
Vineyard: the Estate’s vineyards are organically grown and are located In Arnea and Marathousa, Chalkidiki – 350m altitude.
Age of vines: 10 years
Vinification: Grapes are pre-fermented and cryo-extracted for 3 days at 100 C and then vinified with an extraction of 15-25 days. For Syrah & Cabernet Sauvignon standard red vinification in piston vinificators. For Xinomavro in “Model-Ganimede” vinificators. Malolactic fermentation inside the barrel.
Alcohol level: 13%
Ageing: 10 months in French & American oak barrels
Description: Strong red color with purple and red brick tints. Red fruit, caramel and cedar aromas. Soft mouth-feel with balanced tannins and acidity. With medium density but with aromatic aftertaste on a background of tobacco, vanilla and spices.
